A birders haven! White Ibis overhead, Skimmers, Curlew, Wilson’s Plover, Willet. There are typically some local birders there defending the sanctuary and providing avian ID info. I could never have ID’d without them. This was an overcast, windy, and sometimes rainy day — I guess it made perfect weather for kite surfers, who were thick as crows.
